Last year, Google acquired Nik Software, which is a software company that made a lot of photography software used for post-processing your photos. One of these programs was a nice little $20 piece of desktop software called Snapseed which was one of the first programs I got into post-processing with. Though I’m not using it as often now because of Photoshop Elements and Lightroom, Snapseed and it’s easy editing features had a place in my workflow which is why I’m annoyed to find out that Google has decided to axe the desktop version of the software. I’m beginning to worry about the future of Nik Software now and how much of their software Google wants to convert to their focus on Android :/
